Health Benefits of Vitamin K2, Glycine & CLA

Posted by PrimalRx Team on

Previously we discussed the difficulty obtaining adequate levels of Vitamin K2, Glycine & CLA from diet alone.  Especially for those not eating an animal-based diet  or actively trying to restrict meat, eggs and dairy.

Not surprisingly, these nutrients provide tremendous health benefits.  The most significant listed below:

Vitamin K2

  1. Bone Health: It helps regulate calcium in the body by promoting its deposition in bones and teeth while preventing its accumulation in arteries and soft tissues. This contributes to stronger bones and a lower risk of fractures.
  1. Cardiovascular Health: By preventing calcium buildup in arteries and blood vessels, Vitamin K2 supports cardiovascular health and reduces the risk of arterial calcification.
  1. Dental Health: Similar to its role in bone health, Vitamin K2 supports dental health by ensuring proper calcium use in the teeth.
  1. Blood Clotting: Vitamin K2 is essential for the synthesis of proteins that regulate blood clotting, which helps prevent excessive bleeding.
  1. Support for Insulin Sensitivity: Some studies suggest that Vitamin K2 may help improve insulin sensitivity and support metabolic health.
  1. Potential Cancer Protection: Preliminary research indicates that Vitamin K2 may have protective effects against certain types of cancer, though more research is needed in this area.

Glycine

  1. Supports Protein Synthesis: Glycine is a key component of proteins and is necessary for the synthesis of collagen, which is essential for healthy skin, joints, and connective tissues.
  1. Promotes Healthy Sleep: Glycine may improve sleep quality by lowering core body temperature and calming the brain, potentially leading to better sleep and relaxation.
  1. Aids in Digestion: It helps in the production of bile, which is important for digesting fats, and supports the health of the digestive tract lining.
  1. Enhances Muscle Growth: Glycine is involved in the synthesis of creatine, which is important for muscle energy and growth.
  1. Supports Metabolic Health: It can improve glucose tolerance and insulin sensitivity, contributing to better blood sugar regulation.
  1. Anti-Inflammatory Properties: Glycine has anti-inflammatory effects, which can help reduce inflammation and oxidative stress in the body.
  1. Detoxification: It plays a role in detoxifying the body by supporting the synthesis of glutathione, a major antioxidant.
  1. Supports Joint Health: By contributing to collagen production, glycine helps maintain joint health and cartilage integrity.
  1. Improves Cognitive Function: Glycine has been shown to have neuroprotective effects, potentially enhancing cognitive function and protecting against neurodegenerative conditions.
  1. Helps with Wound Healing: Its role in collagen synthesis also supports tissue repair and wound healing.

CLA (Conjugated Linoleic Acid)

  1. Supports Weight Management: CLA may help reduce body fat by increasing fat metabolism and promoting fat loss while preserving muscle mass.
  1. Improves Body Composition: Some studies suggest that CLA can help reduce body fat percentage and improve lean muscle mass.
  1. Enhances Immune Function: CLA may support immune system function and improve overall immune responses.
  1. Anti-Inflammatory Effects: It has potential anti-inflammatory properties, which can help reduce inflammation in the body.
  1. Supports Heart Health: CLA may help improve cholesterol levels by increasing HDL (good) cholesterol and reducing LDL (bad) cholesterol.
  1. Improves Insulin Sensitivity: There is evidence suggesting that CLA might improve insulin sensitivity and glucose metabolism, which can be beneficial for metabolic health.
  1. Potential Anti-Cancer Effects: Some research indicates that CLA might have protective effects against certain types of cancer, although more studies are needed.
  1. Supports Muscle Maintenance: CLA may help in preserving muscle mass, particularly when used in conjunction with resistance training.

Incredible right?

Too bad there’s not one food source that supplies all 3 of these nutrients in considerable amounts....

That’s the good news!  And all you have to do is hunt, kill and dismember an animal, then crack open it’s long bones and suck the marrow out.

Just kidding.  But that’s what your hunter gatherer ancestors did.  And that's what wolves and other predators still to do today! Because they understand how nutrient-rich the Bone Marrow is.  Sometimes leaving the rest of the animal behind once they’ve feasted on it.

The better news?

You don’t have to do any of the above.  And you don’t even have to buy and roast your own bones to eat the marrow yet!  Because we’ve sourced the purest marrow from the world’s best grass-fed cattle (in New Zealand), and packed it into convenient, easy-to-swallow capsules.

All you have to do, is commit to taking 3 each day….
